The story began over 30 years ago when MIT and Harvard educated scientist, Dr. Dean Hsieh, developed Permeation Enhancement Technology (PET™) which enables the delivery of drug molecules and hormones into and through the skin (transdermal) as an alternative to delivery by mouth or injection.
Permeation Enhancement Technology (PET™), is in an FDA (US Food and Drug Administration) approved transdermal pharmaceutical product and marketed in the US and worldwide. PET™ is also a key component in a formulation of insulin for nasal delivery which is currently in ongoing late stage clinical study in diabetics.
